We are processing whole carcass and carry in (deboned / quartered) deer during all 2023 hunting seasons.
WILD GAME FAQ
We heard Kempfs is under new ownership. Are all of the recipes and seasonings the same?
YES!! All of the recipes and seasonings that you know and love are the same. The new owners are not changing any of the existing recipes. They may add new options and flavors in the future (we want to work on getting a HOTTER/SPICIER flavor and also additive free options), but they are not changing any of the classic recipes.
Will you be processing deer this year?
Yes we will. We will be taking whole carcass deer and carry-in (deboned or quartered) deer and wild game.
Can I drop off my deer after hours, or on Sunday?
Yes, during specific sessions of the 2023 hunting season. We have made arrangements for an after hours drop off with Grindstone Taxidermy, just down the street on Glenn Road. They are able to take a limited number of whole carcass deer outside of our store hours.
The following dates will be available for after hour / Sunday drop offs:
October 6 – 8
October 28 – 29
November 10 – December 10

When will you be accepting deer for processing?
Starting with the opening day of the Missouri bow season (September 15th) until March 30th, 2024, we will be accepting both whole carcass and carry-in wild game. Unfortunately, we do have to set an end date and won’t be able to accept deer/wild game after this date.
